Even More Stash Challenge Layouts

Hello and welcome back! Here are two more of the DT takes on this weeks Stash Challenge. You still have a couple of days to submit your projects and link them to the original challenge post for a chance to win this month's prize- a $20 gift certificate to Two Peas In a Bucket!

Monica - 4th of July and Hello card

I used cardstock for the card, a polka dot paper, and the other paper is a bunch of stripes that I cut into strips.

Teri- Just smile, please! and Congrats card

I love using 3 pictures on a single layout, so this challenge was fun for me. My journaling reads: "Dad and Ray hate it when I ask to take their picture. Ray always agrees, but Dad never smiles or makes a funny face."

QOTW - March 28th

Q: What scrapping item do you replace the most?

DT Answers:

Allison: My charcoal Cat's Eye Chalk Ink! I use those things like crazy!

Brittney: Definitely adhesive and my trimmer blades.

Courtney: Definitely adhesive!!

Jamie: Definitely adhesive, from Xyron cartridges to Hermafix tabs, I rack up quite a hefty adhesive bill every month!

Jen: Adhesive...I feel like there must be an adhesive hungry gnome that eats mine at night... it just disappears!!

Michele: Definitely adhesive! Sometimes I feel like I must be eating it in my sleep or something... it runs out so quickly!!

Monica: White & kraft cardstock.

Rachel: Adhesive. I got a year's supply for my birthday in January and I'm moving through it at record speed. It's a problem!!

Shannon: It's a toss up between adhesive and kraft cardstock. I go through my stock of both fairly quickly!

Steph: No doubt about it, adhesive!

Teri: I use a lot of Cricut mats and cutter blades along with adhesive refills!

Please leave a comment and let us know what scrapping item you replace the most!

More Stash Layouts and Cards

We hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Here are some other Design Team interpretations of this week's Stash Challenge. You can find the requirements here.

Shannon- Mimic and Thank You card

Journaling reads: "I can't help but smile when you copy my every move. From trying to put on makeup (using crayons & markers) to sitting with a pillow in your lap on the couch. You really are a mini-me."

Jamie- Etc. and Thinking of You card

"I only used 2 sheets of patterned paper but they were double sided. So they had a lot of milage. And ok, I'll admit I struggled with adding some bling but eeked it out with the pearl brads! 3 photos, some alphas and a sheet of cardstock later, I tackled this week's Stash Challenge"

Allison- A Little Twang and U Rock card

"I used a piece of Cosmo Cricket patterned paper for the background. The calendar elements as well as the wood grain and graph paper were all cut out of a double sided piece of Studio Calico paper. I used Kraft for the cardstock and only added one extra set of letter stickers."

Stash Challenge- March 24

Hello all! This week's challenge is brought to you by Leigh and Rachel. The purpose of this challenge is for you to dig into your stash and have fun!
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it is to create a card AND a layout
using

1. One Piece of Cardstock
2. Bling (or glitter, or anything shiny!!)
3. Alpha stickers
4. Two pieces of coordinating patterned paper
5. 3 pictures

If you need to add extra elements, feel free to do so, but your layout must
contain each of the five things listed above!

Here are the challenge hostess' layouts:

Leigh- "40 Balloons"
"I used 3 photos, sheet of teal CS, blue & pink PP, yellow alpha stickers and "bling" thickers. i also used a sheet of flower cardstock stickers & a scalloped border."

Rachel- "Long Distance Relationship"
"I like to scrap in 8.5 x 11 which leads me with long strips of extra cardstock. Rather than waste the strip, I turned it into a card using the scraps from my layout."

We hope you got some inspiration and can't wait to see what you come up with! Please submit your project by Wednesday March 31st 11:59PM CST.

Submission Instructions:
You may submit a maximum of TWO projects by the challenge deadline and will get one chance at the prize for each entry. Your project must be NEW as of the challenge date & must meet the criteria posted by the challenge hosts to be eligible to win. To submit your layout, add the direct URL for your layout to Mr. Linky. He’ll be at the bottom of each challenge post. You can link to your uploaded project in a gallery like Two Peas in a Bucket, a Photobucket account, or a post on another blog. Just make sure the URL takes us directly to your project and not just your blog homepage or whole gallery.
The challenge winner will be chosen by a random number generator. Every challenge winner will get a special “Challenge Winner” blinkie to use in their signatures on messages boards or blog posts. We will pool all the challenge entries and do a prize drawing with the random number generator at the end of the month. We may also occasionally have smaller prizes for mini-giveaways, so keep checking back!
If you have questions about any of this or have a problem using the blog, e-mail us at handmadelovechallenge@gmail.com

QOTW - March 21st

Question: What was your biggest scrap related splurge?

DT Answers:

Allison: My Slice! There's not a design card I haven't liked and I love using it to cut out cute shapes!

Courtney: Probably a $42 shopping spree at Michael's on a variety of things.. Most expensive was probably a 9.99 trimmer

Jamie: My lil baby awesome Slice! It does everything I need it too and more! Love love love it!

Michele: Definitely my Cricut Expression! I love it so much-- it makes scrapping so much easier!

Monica: Definitely my Cricut Expression! Sadly, I don't use it as much as I should. I need to find a permanent place for it in my small room. Second would be the ATG, which was totally worth it!

Rachel: My Bind It All, I have only used it once...but I see wonderful things in it's future!

Shannon: My Cricut. Although, it was a gift from my husband...I didn't buy it for myself :)

Stephanie (Steph): My beautiful, blue Cricut Expression. I LOVE it!!

More Scraplift Layouts

We hope you all are having a great weekend! Our design team has a few more ideas based on our original layout.
Shannon- "M"
"It was weird to scraplift myself, and I wanted something completely different. I kept the bracket element and the 3 strips. Just turned it 90 degrees and added 4 pictures instead of one."

 Jamie- "23rd Birthday"
"I loved the inspiration layout but hated the pink in this background paper. So I moved my photo and design elements up to hide it!"

 Monica- "Mom and Me"
"I stuck pretty much with the exact design and placement of objects. I ran out of M's for my title so I had to compensate with outlines!"

We hope these layouts inspire you to join our challenge. For every layout you submit this month you will be entered in a drawing for a $20 gift card to two peas in a bucket.  You can submit your layout for this challenge HERE!

Scraplift Challenge - March 18

Happy Thursday! Teri and Brittney are super excited to bring this week's challenge. This challenge can be as simple or detailed as you would like to make it. The challenge is to "scraplift" (also known as copying)  all or part of the layout below, which was generously provided by our very own team member Shannon.

We would like to encourage you to think outside the box while scrapping for this challenge. This layout can easily be made into a two page spread or a single page with more pictures.

This is what the hostesses came up with:
Brittney- "Soccer Hooligans"

Teri- "Guitar Super Star"
"I stuck pretty close to the original layout when scraplifting because I loved Shannon's  design.  I chose to use some matching rub-ons instead of using the bracket element in the top right corner. I love how it turned out!"

Here is another layout from our design team:
 Leigh- "Goodies"

We hope you've got some inspiration and can't wait to see what you come up with! Please submit your project by Wednesday March 24th 11:59PM CST.
Submission Instructions:
You may submit as many layouts (or cards) as you want by the challenge deadline and will get one chance at the prize for each entry. Your project must meet the criteria posted by the challenge hosts to be eligible to win. To submit your layout, add the direct URL for your layout to Mr. Linky. He’ll be at the bottom of each challenge post. You can link to your uploaded project in a gallery like Two Peas in a Bucket, a Photobucket account, or a post on another blog. Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend! It's Allison and Jen back with the last of the inspiration for the music challenge! Remember, you have until 11:59 CST on Wednesday March 17 to submit a layout for this challenge! Link your projects to the initial challenge blog post HERE!

Here's the last of the inspiration from this challenges other hostesses Jen!

Jen's "Typical"

"I used a new Little Yellow Bicycle Generation Z transparency over white cardstock that I painted. I loved the jumping around in the music video and it inspired me to use these fun photos. These are typical photos of Luke."

More Music Inspiration

Happy Saturday blog readers! We're back with more inspiration from this weeks music challenge! Check out the video here. And below is some more inspiration from our design team!

Teri's "Reality Is...You Rock!"

Jamie's "ACL"

As the girls know, I'm really not into music so this was definitely a challenge. I was inspired by the blue guitar set and the three screens in the background of the video.

Remember to submit your projects via the link at the bottom of our original challenge post here.

Music Challenge - March 11

Hi everyone! Allison and Jen here with the first prompt for the music challenge! Music is inspiring in so many ways. Songs lyrics, album art, and even music videos can be used as inspiration in your scrapbooking. The challenge for this week is to draw your inspiration from the music video below. Be inspired by the song lyrics or even elements of the music video itself. Your project can be about anything (doesn’t have to be limited to a music subject) but try and draw some inspiration from the video!

Here's a layout from one of the hostesses:

Allison's "Not Your Typical Rock Show"

Obviously for this page I was most inspired by the paint. I tried to recreate the look for the background paper. I also used the title of the song as part of the title for the page.

And here's a page from our design team!

Leigh's "Another Level"

I was inspired by the post-it notes in the video, so I filled my page up with them :) and I used the chorus lyrics as my title.

We hope you've got some inspiration and can't wait to see what you come up with! Please submit your project by Wednesday March 17th 11:59 CST.

Submission Instructions:
You may submit as many layouts (or cards) as you want by the challenge deadline and will get one chance at the prize for each entry.
